Approach
We use the cutting-edge approaches in the field of psychotherapy: AEDP, RLT, and EMDR, and integrate them based on each client's specific needs in order to achieve the best therapeutic outcome.
AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy)
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is a heart-centered, science-backed therapy approach designed to help people heal from trauma, emotional suffering, and attachment wounds by leaning into positive, transformational emotional experiences. AEDP is built on the belief that within each of us is an innate capacity to heal. By creating a secure, attuned relationship with your therapist, you’re guided to:
• Undo aloneness – one of the key goals in AEDP.
• Process emotions that were once overwhelming or shut down.
• Activate the healing mechanisms of the brain and nervous system.
• Integrate new emotional experiences that rewire your sense of self and connection to others.
The therapy focuses on moment-to-moment emotional tracking, encouraging deep connection with core emotions, and using those emotions as vehicles for transformation—not dysfunction.
RLT (Relational Life Therapy)
Relational Life Therapy (RLT), developed by psychotherapist Terry Real, is a transformative approach to couples therapy that cuts through surface-level issues and addresses the deeper relational patterns that cause conflict and distance. Unlike traditional therapy, RLT is direct, honest, and empowering—designed to create lasting change through compassionate truth-telling and personal responsibility. It focuses on helping individuals and couples:
• Break toxic patterns of disconnection
• Learn how to speak with honesty and care
• Create a relationship grounded in mutual respect, vulnerability, and healthy boundaries
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective, research-supported psychotherapy method for helping people recover from trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and distressing life experiences. Rather than requiring detailed verbal recounting, EMDR gently activates your brain’s natural healing process to reprocess painful memories—so they no longer control your present.
When we experience trauma or overwhelming stress, memories can get “stuck” in the brain without being fully processed. This can lead to anxiety, flashbacks, or self-protective patterns that no longer serve us. EMDR works by:
• Using bilateral stimulation (typically guided eye movements, tapping, or sound) to help the brain process and integrate painful or fragmented memories.
• Allowing your nervous system to move from reactivity to resolution.
• Helping you form new beliefs about yourself and the world (e.g., “I am safe now,” “It wasn’t my fault”).
